I hope that this page tells you a little more about what its is like to be a pupil in Reception at Bridge Hall. Please call the school office to book a tour of our environment, we would love to meet you and your child.

In Reception at Bridge Hall the children have a wonderful time, we want all children to be safe, comfortable and happy in school and this is our main priority.

We are very lucky to have a large, bright and newly built classroom with a a joining outdoor area for the children to learn in. Over the last year we have had huge investment in the early year classroom resources and are very proud of the opportunities our children are given.

Our school also has a large field, adventure playground, chicken enclosure, forest school area and playground that we explore regularly.

At present we take part in Forest school sessions once a week, where we make dens, create woodland crafts, use tools, build fires and toast marshmallows. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience the outdoor

Each day the children take part in engaging and fun literacy, number and phonics sessions, these are teacher led interactive activities that give the children the important skills they need to be ready for year one. The children enjoy these more formal learning time and are proud of what they can achieve.
