Bridge Hall Primary School Where Every Child Matters and Every Day Counts

Admissions Arrangements

Admission Arrangements

This section of our website outlines the admission process, a process which is undertaken by Stockport MBC.  Details regarding applications for Nursery, Primary, Secondary and in year transfers can be found hereAll school places, including mid year transfers, must be applied for online.

NURSERY ADMISSION
We have a 44 part time place Nursery Class with caring, experienced staff who offer exciting first hand experiences for children.  Nursery places are offered on a two and a half full day basis.  We  offer 15 hour and 30 hour entitlement places. Your child will be eligible to start Nursery the term after they are three.

We encourage our children to explore both the internal and external environment and encourage them to challenge themselves, be creative and be confident when encountering new experiences. It is important that we build a close partnership with parents / carers and all the staff are keen to share and celebrate your child’s progress with you.  All Nursery places must be applied for online here.

RECEPTION ADMISSION
Admission to Reception is through Stockport MBC in the autumn term of the previous academic year i.e. the September before your child becomes five.

We have 30 places available for school admission in September 2024 and further details of the admission procedure can be found on the Stockport Council website here. All admissions to the school  must be completed online, there are no paper copies available.

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS:
Children have a range of needs, including physical or sensory difficulties, language difficulties and emotional / behavioural difficulties. We always endeavour to meet the needs of individual children and most children find their needs can be met within a mainstream school. Some children, however, may have additional needs which require additional support; for example a learning difficulty or a disability that means they find it harder to learn than other children in their age group.  Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) will help you with any concerns during your child’s time at Bridge Hall Primary School.

IN YEAR TRANSFERS:
If you wish to transfer schools you are welcome to come and view our school but please note that all in-year admissions are handled by the Local Authority. Stockport admissions can be contacted on 0161 217 6028 or via email.
