Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Yesterday afternoon our school choir sang for the patients, volunteers and staff at Beechwood Cancer Care. They sang lots of lovely Christmas songs and everyone had a lovely afternoon.
Today I received this email;
I attended the carol concert given by the children at Beechwood today after lunch. What a wonderful experience and such a happy and uplifting occasion. The children sang their little hearts out and were such terrific ambassadors for Bridge Hall Primary School, you should be very proud of them. Their teacher has taught them so well, the children were engaged, attentive, alert and focused, and she had a lovely manner about her engagement with the group, this led to such a relaxed and happy occasion.
The children are such a credit to their families and school, singing and signing cannot be easy to master yet they did it! You made lots of people rather happy today so keep up the good work.
Happy Christmas and best wishes to you and your school community.
Well done to the choir and to Mrs Paterson!
Reception to Year 6 have really enjoyed their Christmas performances this week. It has been a chance to celebrate Christmas, as well as their many talents with singing, dancing, writing poems and playing the guitar. The hall was full with families who came to support their children.
Thank you so much for your support, Merry Christmas!
The nursery children did a fabulous performance to their parents and families this morning.
It was a chance for the children to show off their performance skills and showcase some of the things that they have been learning this term. We were treated to lots of lovely Christmas songs and poems and then a film showing all of the fun nursery have had this term.
Happy Christmas to all of our Nursery children and their families!
Today we visited St Matthew's Church and held a special Christmas service. We had learnt three songs; Little Donkey, Away in a Manger and It was a Starry Night, the choir sang and all the teachers read part of the Nativity story.
It rained a lot, we all got soaked, but we all enjoyed the service and look forward to going back to St Matthew's again soon.
To celebrate our individuality and uniqueness, today we took part in 'Odd Socks Day'! This is part of our anti-bullying week where we are thinking about the theme, "Change Starts with us".
This is the video that we watched in assembly:

It's happened! Our new behaviour policy reward system is up and running.
The children are given reward tokens for positive behaviour choices. On a Friday, the shop is open and children can either spend their tokens on a small item or save them to exchange for a larger prize. There were many excited children in the shop today and our School Council reps did a great job organising the sales.
Keep up the good work everyone, your great attitude is definitely worth celebrating.
