We want to make sure that every child at Bridge Hall Primary School has the best possible chance to learn, grow, and thrive – and a nutritious meal at lunchtime plays a big part in that.
🍽️ Free School Meals: What You Need to Know
All children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal every day under the government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.
However, your child may also be eligible for additional support if you apply for means-tested Free School Meals (FSM) – even if they are already receiving universal meals.
✅ Who qualifies for Free School Meals?
Your child may be eligible if you receive one of the following:

Universal Credit (with household income below £7,400 per year after tax)

Income Support
-
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
-
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
-
Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit), with income below £16,190
-
The guaranteed part of Pension Credit
-
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

Our lunches are provided by Totally Local Company. We use School Grid to order and pay for school meals. Please aim to order your child's lunches a week or term in advance.
