Hello, I am Miss Price and I teach Reception. I am also the Early Years Lead, and I work full time. I am not in class one day a week although I will be in school. Miss Adams is the Reception teacher on that day. In Reception, we base our learning about I wonder questions and we use different stories to inspire us.

We will also share these with you at our first Parents Evening.

We build on the skills established in Nursery in the Prime areas of learning: Communication and Language; Personal, Social and Emotional Development; and Physical Development; and the Specific areas: Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; and Expressive Arts and Design.

In Reception, children begin to learn the letters and sounds of Phonics to help them read and write. Parents and Carers will be invited to a Reading workshop during the Autumn term and children will begin to bring home their reading books.
