Mentoring
Mentoring Circles
All our Y1 to Y6 children have a dedicated mentor. This Mentor is a staff member who meets with their group of up to ten children weekly to play circle games and discuss any worries or school issues. This mentor also meets the children individually every term to check upon their progress and well-being.
As part of our Mentoring system, the children have a record of their progress in reading, maths,writing & science. They also have a record of their personal targets for effort & attitude.
Please ask your child about their mentoring and how well they are doing on their star awards.
Rewarding Effort and Good Behaviour.
Our children are very proud to receive “Dojos” or “stars” for their efforts.
Bronze Award = 100 Stars for good effort, behaviour, manners & work.
Silver Award = 200 Stars for good effort, behaviour, manners & work.
Gold Award = 300 Stars for good effort, behaviour, manners & work.
