Help and Support

If you have any concerns about your child, there are several ways to access support.

  • Speak to our Welfare Assistant or any member of staff. They may be able to provide immediate assistance, particularly with issues such as improving attendance or completing homework. This is also the best first step if your child is experiencing bullying or friendship difficulties.

  • Attend an Early Help Team drop-in session. We regularly host these sessions, and you can request an appointment through our Welfare Assistant. This allows you to discuss concerns with an experienced support worker who is independent of the school.

  • Access an Early Help Assessment. Several members of staff are trained to complete an assessment and connect families with external agencies that can offer further support.

Multi-Agency Safeguarding & Support Hub (MASSH)

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding & Support Hub (MASSH) is a collaboration between Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council children’s social care, education and youth services, Stockport NHS, Greater Manchester Police, and the Probation Service. Together, they work to protect and support children and young people.

As a school, we have a duty of care to report any concerns promptly and seek appropriate guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and their families.

If you are concerned that a child or young person in Stockport is at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect, please contact MASSH on 0161 217 6028 and provide as much detail as possible. If a child is in immediate danger, call the Police on 999.
